Ramblin' Renee: I Read a Really GOOD book!

My sister-in-law passed on a book to me a few months ago called Gone Girl and I really didn't think much about it. In fact, it ended up under my bed until I found it a week ago with dust bunnies crusted on it.

I consider myself a reader but when school is in session it becomes difficult to read novels because I am so gosh darn tired at night! I will lay down to read and literally fall asleep while reading.

Needless to say, it usually takes me quite awhile to get through a book during the school year. Even with the Shades of Grey books. They really didn't keep me wanting to read more and more like everyone raved it would.

Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn did keep me interested and awake and wanting to read all day long! This book is a psychological thriller and let me tell you, it is pretty cool.

The beginning is a bit slow but once you get midway into the book you will not be able to put it down. I'm telling you, it is AWESOME!!! If you are in the market to read a good book and even if you are not, you will like this book.

I texted Kim yesterday to let her know and she's already checking it out. The author has written a couple of other books so I am going to check those out. She is a Midwesterner herself so all the more reason to support her in her writing.

The other super cool thing about this book, as a side note, is that apparently Reese Witherspoon wants to make this book into a movie and play the main character in the book. So, all of you Reese Witherspoon fans, this will be a different kind of role for her to say the least.

Anyways, other than the reading thing, not much else is going on.

Of course, again, we are expecting this BIG snow...ha...ha.... Us, Illinoisans, will believe it when we see it kind of thing. I will keep you posted because that is all anyone seems to be talking about right now in Chicago is the weather and wait, I almost forgot, more corrupt politicians. Huge shock, I know:)

Well, peace out for now! Let me know if you have read this book or if you do read it! I would love to see your reactions as well......

Renee~from Illinois
