NoT so DeeP RandoM ThoughTs....

Welcome back to me....I am going to jump right in.

~ My cab drivers tree air freshener of choice. Black ice. Humm have no words. Please comment if you do. Lol

~ Checking in at the airport (which is the smallest one I have ever been to in my LIFE) lookin for the check in kiosk. I am greeted by the man at the counter asking if I am checking in. Yes. He says come on over and just needs my ID.
Are you checking a bag?
Me: yes
Him:25$
Me: is there a way to upgrade to first class(which costs almost the same as my $25 bag fee)
Him: oh you can only do that on the kiosk
me: in my head sweet lead the way
Him: but it's broke.
Me: bummer. Sad face
Him: I can wave your bag fee since our kiosk is broken.
Me: super big smile. Thank you so much. Inside jumping up and down.
It's just the little things like this airport.

Go sit down in the mini waiting area because there is no formal security area. Ask a woman do they call us from here? Looking around for a few shops(none), food (none)? (The room is set in Brown 70's panels, it reminds me of a dive dark dingy bar with out the bad smell and no liquor.) Can't really see anything... bathroom. Yep.

Okay head for the bathroom and hoping no one takes my seat cause this place is so small I don't want to sit on the floor.

Enter the first door.  Oooooh the smell hits me and I have not even made it in the "bathroom" yet. Walk in the second door to the full blast of the worst smell EVER.

Small old pink tile bathroom that stinks like horrible ass. A woman washing her hands. Is she the culprit of the horrible smell? ***faaaarrrttt**** *****faaarrrrttt**** nope it wasn't her at the sink.

(Ever walk into a bathroom and can't figure out the stall configuration? That's me right now.) moving around the woman at the sink trying to hurry and get in the first open stall which is the biggest door ever. Finally get in to almost begin gagging. I have a very high tallerence to gagging but it was eye watering bad. Thank The Lord that I wore a scarf. Wrapped that puppy around my nose and pee'ed as fast as I could.

Now I know we all have these times when we are out in public and have to poo. Granted unless you are some super Hero and can hold it till you get home. But I always feel there is some protocol. First being, I try to be alone when doing the deed. Second, if another person comes in wait till they are done and have left to leave my stall. Quickly wash and get out of dodge.

Back to the story... I am hurrying to give the woman some privacy to finish and head out after me. ****flush**** ugh what I don't want to see your Farting A@@ I mean face. Noooo

Oh yes she left the stall a few seconds before me. I come out and take a look at her as she looks at me. Yes!!!! Yes I heard you and now I have a visual.

I wash my hands and try to leave as quickly as possible. Mind you this bathroom is so tiny and we are in extreme proximity to each other. I would think once you finish drying your hands you would flee quickly from the area. Considering I heard you and smelled you for that matter.  Oh noooo as I try to get to the towels you decide to make your way back to the sinks and mirror. Come ON!!!!! Just go. Ugh aren't your nostrils burning.  I bust out of this place as fast as I can.  Fresh (head tilt) air.

This whole thing happened in about two minutes cause I was movin fast.

And I hope that you, farty butt, are not sitting next to me on the mini plane that I am sure we will be on.

OH MY GOD!!! I kid you not. I am sitting next to her on the plane. OMG OMG I am about to burst out of my skin. Are you KIDDING ME. How does this happen. Lol.

Let me back up a bit. Sitting in the corner of the waiting area, through security, to board area finishing writing the above to you all. I look around at one point to spot the "culprit". She is not around me but on the other side. Phew.  Ahhh we are getting ready to board. Go get in line cause I am in group 935 to board. (when did we start assigning everyone to 30 million group choices) anyway that is another blog post.  We walk outside to our mini plane. I took a picture for you

I am enjoying the warm FRESH air on my way to the plane. I get on and start looking for my row. 10c I am in a window. Eah could be worse. Oh but YES it is. I see her up ahead...I look up at the numbers and start counting in my head looking at the rows...sh!t.

I am sitting next to her.
(Thinking to myself I can't wait to sit down and blog this to you all because I can't make this stuff up. Lol)

I tell her I am by the window and she gets up I sit down. Ugh unfortunately this is a supper small plane and we are really close and she is bigger than me.
Now to try and not touch her as my gag reflex is sooooo trying to rear it's ugly head. NO must think of other things.

Sit down grab my seat belt ugh. As other passengers are walking by she keeps moving closer to me turning so her back roll keeps hitting me. Ugh. So can't believe this.... What are the chances. Well I guess pretty good since we are in a two seated plane. (Not really)

The only thing I can be grateful for is that she cleaned her pipes out before she got on the plane.

At the end of the day I can't wait to get home to my family I miss them terribly.  ~Kim from Texas

DeeP ThoughTs by KiM (Not ReaLLy DeeP)

Thursday Thoughts

We are linking up with Ramblings of a Suburban Mom for Thursday Thoughts.

~ I love market research companies. I just got approved for a $200 market research study and they're even giving me lunch.

~ I have found that here in TeXas where we live the street names are SOOOO LONG Such as street name.... Summer Walk Lane  Hi I Live on Summer Walk Lane or you will find ones that say Blushing Meadow Grand Street.....It is crazy my street name never fits on those lines when you are filling things out. There is no easy way to make it shorter.  Not to mention that the street signs themselves are 10 feet long.  They have signs for the trucks like they have on bridges to let you know the height because these things are so long.  LOL

~ Seriously my son just texts me to bring him food at school Here is his list... Subway, Chick Fil A or McDonalds.  Seriously are you nutz...Its after school, he is at his theatre production practice and I am sitting here trying to decide if I need to pick up my youngest because it is on and off raining.  Who are these children and how did they get to make me so CRAZY.

~Do people still wear ankle bracelets?  I saw a woman wearing one the other day and I thought Really??

~Why is it so hard to cut a spaghetti squash. If you have any good ideas let me know.  You can see loosing a finger right here. Yes we are still eating Vegetarian/Vegan. H has lost 50 Thousand Pounds in one week.  I am losing about .000000001 pounds a month.  UGH  Boys stink!!  lol

~ Don't you hate when you are Doing the dishes. Think you're done. Turn around and there's 10 more things on the counter right behind you.

~Would someone tell the woman that is in the carpool line with the sign attached to a hanger blocking her entire windshield she can take that sh@t down. She obviously can't see where she is going and we are picking up kids. By the way she is driving she is gonna run someone over.

At the EnD of the DaY there is Nothing like picking up dog poop under pressure at 6am while you hear the garbage truck coming down the street. ~Kim from TeXas

Thursday Thoughts

We are linking up with Ramblings of a Suburban Mom for Thursday Thoughts.

Happy Halloween

~As I ease back into blogging I just could not keep up with the rigorous pace of blogging.  It was becoming stressful so I have pulled back.  My goal is to post at least once a week and Renee' Well you will have to ask her....We may never hear from here again.  LOL

~I have started selling Origami Owl and I have been enjoying it.  Being a former employee in a direct sell corporate office I know the back side of direct sell and the face of direct sell.  I really liked this company because of the ease of selling and being a consultant.  If you would like to follow along my OO journey you can LIKE my Facebook Page HERE  My goal is to get to 75 followers (currently at 49) so if you get a chance go help me out.

~Besides (can you tell I don't like to be board?) this my neighbor Lynn and I have started a little crafty Hobby selling Customized Acrylic Cups and Water bottles.  You can see those HERE which have been pretty exciting to make.  We just got into a local boutique selling spirit wear cups for the local High Schools  WHOOP WHOOP our first shop.  We don't plan on making millions just to provide everyone in TeXas with one of our cups.  LOL  Again if you get a chance we would love to have you follow us on Facebook.

~I wanted to share those with you because that what has been consuming my life besides my BoYs.

~Just cause I know you were wondering NO people still don't use their turn signals in TeXas.  Infuriating I wish....Never Mind.  Trying to not be so negative. LOL

~Yes you card swappers out there we are starting the Swaps back up....So if you are interested go to our Chatty Crafters Facebook page and Message me with your email.  I will get you added to our monthly Card Swap email.

~ I am sure there will be more to add because I think all the time that would be something good to share...Now that I have my phone upgraded with Suri I can now dictate instead of type...Blogging goes much faster.

At the End of the Day...I am glad to be back blogging...~Kim from TeXas

CooKing with KiM ~Vegan Tofu Stuffed Peppers

Well my intentions were good with this recipe but it just did not have the WOW factor so of course it has not been made again.  But I will share my recipe with you.

Green Peppers were the best looking thing EVER look at those colors.  YUM

Garlic sautéed for a bit before the Tofu

Catchup and spices

Vegan Cheese (maybe the brand?)

ToFu Saute for a bit

Mix with the Sauce

Rice

Tofu

Cheese

Bake

And there you have it.  Over all it really needed a TON more spices but for a mom who is Vegetarian/Vegan trying to eat clean I have to make it SIMPLE.  These are recipes for the MOMs who need the convenience of boxed pre-made stuff.  Again not great but I am still trying...If anyone knows a great cookbook using everyday convenience stuff that is Clean and can make it Veg/Vegan super Fast MOM style let me know.  I am running out of ideas. HELP ME  Thanks!!

~If you are still around and reading this THANK You for sticking around while I took a mental break...Because really lets take a look back this year and WHO?? did most of the Talking. Moi (KiM)

~I am slowly going to be easing back into blogging because there are so many times that I have such great stories but no time to sit and TYPE.  That being said I am in great need of dictation app so I can just say what I am thinking and it will type it for me.  That way you our readers will get so much more from my random thoughts.

~ I have decided that the Under Armour Compression Underwear for men is really Male Spanks!!  LOL

~ Still living in TeXas and enjoying it...Going back up to Illinois for a visit...I will actually see Renee' We have not "seen" each other in over a Year.  Hope to have some updated pictures on the BLOG of us.

~I am still eating Vegetarian Vegan but have been sooooo unmotivated to cook and my menu is shrinking...Hoping to get revitalized in the Kitchen soon.  Though I do love cooking when me and dear H are cooking together it is FUN.  My oldest whipped out a batch of chocolate chip muffins yesterday and my youngest whipped up some scrambled eggs for breakfast this morning.

~Why are there so many earwigs infiltrating my house.  I have killed 5 in the past three days.  That is only the ones I have seen I can't imagine how many are around that I don't see.  UGH.

~Don't forget to check out our Card Swaps....I am also starting those back up for September.

~Like our Facebook page for Card Swap Info...It is free to do and lots of FUN!!

KiMs Review of the Kreate-a-Lopes® Envelope Template

How excited was I to be approached by The Kreate-a-Lopes® company to review their Envelope Maker.

I think I was the most excited because I was having a conversation with one of my friends A, who mentioned that she would like to make envelopes for the monthly cards swap.

Well shortly after that conversation we received a message asking if we would like to try this Kreate-a-Lopes® Envelope Maker.  How exciting was that!!!

While I was thinking about reviewing this I was most curious about how I would get the envelope to stick. I could use my scrapbook adhesive but it would depend on the paper. Glue? How am I going to make these stick. Well before I got too stressed thinking about this the Kreate-a-Lopes® company said they were sending Lick & Stick remoistenable envelope glue. Great for making hand made envelopes.

The products that I was sent to review were the A7 envelope size, A2 envelope size (which is the size of our card swap cards) and Lick & Stick Remoistenable Envelope Glue.

Make an envelope using scrapbook paper, wallpaper, magazine pages, rubber stamp art, computer art, digital photography, wrapping paper and more.

Check out their website Kreate-a-Lopes® for more information

Now onto my trying to make some envelopes....

I had so much fun making these envelopes. Who knew it was so easy to make envelopes to go with the cards that I make. It took no time to whip up these envelopes using magazines and scrapbooking paper. I put a bit too much glue because it took a while to dry before I could lick and stick the top closed.

Thank you to Kreate-a-Lopes® for sending these to me for review.

Disclaimer I was given this product to review my opinions are my own. There are links in this post.

Another Year of Teacher Appreciation Done....

Tis' the time of year for Teacher Appreciation week! What to do, what to do.....I perused Pinterest and found some ideas and then made up a couple of my own. I thought I would share my final creation just so everyone out there can get even more ideas:)

My kids wanted to give their teachers something everyday so I found some ideas that would lend itself to that.

On Monday, my kids brought in a pack of pens with a tag that read "You have been just WRITE  for me!".

On Tuesday, they brought a pack of sticky notes that was in the shape of a "thumbs" up and a tag that read, " You're THUMBS up in my book!"

On Wednesday, they brought in a pack of highlighters and a tag that read, " Thank you for making my school year  BRIGHT!"

On Thursday, they brought in a colored pack of paper clips with a tag that read,"  Thank you for holding EVERYTHING together".

Finally, on Friday they both brought in custom made vinyl cups with their names on them, drink mixes inside, with a tag that read, "Thank you for QUENCHING my thirst for knowledge".

All in all, the project for two kids cost around $20. I had my own vinyl at home to use with my Cricut Expression so I used that for the cups that I bought. It was a creative way to say thanks to their teachers and they both sent emails saying how much they appreciated everything.

I have included a couple of pictures of the items and of one of the cups I made. I hope that you enjoy taking a peek! Until next time........

Peace out: Renee~from Illinois
